The Stromsoe Insurance Agency Total Protection Team decided to do a bit of an experiment to test out our motto, "You Get What You Give". We sent out a Jefferson Two-dollar Bill to a random group of clients. The message enclosed was this:

In this time of thanksgiving and sharing, many of us give generously to favorite charities or food drives. When you have the opportunity to contribute to a worth-while holiday charity - please take us with you!

Here are just a few of the heart warming responses we received from you:

“I was going through my three weeks of mail that was waiting for me and I got your Thanksgiving card with the $2.00 Jefferson Bill. What a clever idea and very professional. I always look forward to your creative ideas in marketing. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.”
Don McDougal

“Erica, please thank all the staff for the Thanksgiving card & we have applied the $2.00 to our donation of $25.00 to Animal Friends of the valley.”
Jim Collins

“Thanks for the Thanksgiving Card! I matched your $2, donated it to the Murrieta Rotary Club's Polio eradication fund. That $4 will be matched by a donor in our area for $8, which will then be matched by The Gates Foundation. That's $16 because of your generosity!”
Jeannette Hartmann

“Donna sent a check for $102.00 to the Salvation Army for Thanksgiving dinners. That’s where the $2.00 went. ”
Donna Lane

“Our non-profit Agency serves people who have disabilities; many of whom are homeless or have very low income. Each year during Thanksgiving, St Monica’s Catholic Church in Santa Monica sends a flyer for distribution to our consumers that states the following – “On the eve of Thanksgiving Day, Wednesday, November 24th, 2010 from 3-6pm St. Monica Catholic Community will once again host a full Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings in our parish auditorium for an expected 1000 guests. We send out a special invite to all those who may be facing particular financial hardships this season and those who find themselves alone this holiday to join us…” Additionally, they send a request for donations of things such as trial sized toiletries, cooked turkeys, food for the feast and money for milk and bread.
I cooked a turkey last year and found no reason not to do it again this year. While casually communicating this to two of my co-worker friends, we decided that we could do much more than just one cooked turkey. Suddenly we had $100 to spend. A 20 pound turkey was purchased, as well as, 10 fully assembled, 1-gallon Ziploc bags full of toiletries from a list provided to us by the church. We created five bags for the males and five bags for the females. In one of those bags, we hid the $2 bill.

Let us be continuously mindful of those in our communities who do not have adequate food, clothing or shelter this holiday season and let us be joyful of the countless blessings that are bestowed upon us."

“Thanks SIA, for the unique $2 offer! I am using it to help underpriveledged children in the area, to attend an art class!”
Tony Moramarco

“Mike and Crew, Please accept my sincere thanks for the Thanksgiving card with the special gift inside. I'm going to multiply it by 100 and give it to the USO. We all give because we are free and blessed. God bless you and your team!”
Dennis Hamsher

“Hi! Thanks for the $2.00 bill, Stromsoe. I sent it, along with the coins that I find on the ground all year, and my donation portion to....the Scleroderma Foundation, in honor of my sister, Vicky Fisher. She passed away at a young age from this horrific disease. This has been my "go to" charity ever since it took her life.”
Anita Born

“I wanted to let you know that I will be adding $2.00 to my donation to a fundraiser for Safe Alternatives For Everyone, a domestic violence non-profit. They are collecting $20.00 gift cards and I am going to make mine $22.00! Thanks for bringing joy to Thanksgiving!”
Bobbi Ballwey

“Hey guys - thanks so much for the Thanksgiving card! The $2 bill was a brilliant idea. I contributed it to Gracefalls Restoration Center. Thanks for helping with their mission. You definitely are a company that cares.”
Charlotte Hicks
